TK with a traditional wheat beer and a nice <a style="color: #406480;" href="http://midibox.org/" target="_blank">midibox.org</a> sticker as a present.</p>
<p><a title="synthfrog_welcome by akorbeti, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/akorbeti/4438567443/"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4029/4438567443_8d93a251a2.jpg" alt="synthfrog_welcome" width="500" height="375" /></a></p>
<p>The little frog was very excited to sit on the famous original MIDIbox SID prototype that he only knew from pictures before:<br />
<a title="mbsid_1 by akorbeti, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/akorbeti/4438563857/"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2717/4438563857_46d5b89dbd.jpg" alt="mbsid_1" width="500" height="249" /></a></p>
<p><a title="mbsid_1 by akorbeti, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/akorbeti/4438563857/"></a><br />
He quickly jumped to one of his most favorite knobs and started to tweak on a lovely bassline. He was completely stunned from the unique SID sounds:<br />
<a title="mbsid_2 by akorbeti, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/akorbeti/4439341700/"></a></p>
<p><a title="mbsid_2 by akorbeti, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/akorbeti/4439341700/"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2803/4439341700_3a5a9f0958.jpg" alt="mbsid_2" width="500" height="375" /></a></p>
<p><a title="mbsid_2 by akorbeti, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/akorbeti/4439341700/"></a><br />
And he couldn&#8217;t resist to program a suitable drum sequence:<br />
<a title="mbsid_3 by akorbeti, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/akorbeti/4438564823/"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2701/4438564823_4f2ccb416f.jpg" alt="mbsid_3" width="500" height="375" /></a></p>
<p><a title="mbsid_3 by akorbeti, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/akorbeti/4438564823/"></a><br />
Of course, he also wanted to get his hands on the brilliant MB-6582 design which TK got as a present from Wilba:<br />
<a title="mb6582_1 by akorbeti, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/akorbeti/4438566163/"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4014/4438566163_942432cc96.jpg" alt="mb6582_1" width="500" height="375" /></a></p>
<p><a title="mb6582_1 by akorbeti, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/akorbeti/4438566163/"></a><br />
<a title="mb6582_2 by akorbeti, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/akorbeti/4439344208/"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4026/4439344208_e87ce90294.jpg" alt="mb6582_2" width="500" height="375" /></a></p>
<p><a title="mb6582_2 by akorbeti, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/akorbeti/4439344208/"></a><br />
And the MB-808 that evolved from a joint work with Moogah:<br />
<a title="mb808_1 by akorbeti, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/akorbeti/4439342620/"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2792/4439342620_13256e9b47.jpg" alt="mb808_1" width="500" height="342" /></a></p>
<p><a title="mb808_1 by akorbeti, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/akorbeti/4439342620/"></a><br />
It was late in the evening, and Mr. Braska swinged into a sweet slumber, curious about the other projects that he will explore in the next days.<br />
<a title="mb808_2 by akorbeti, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/akorbeti/4439343050/"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4027/4439343050_01e8cb00ae.jpg" alt="mb808_2" width="500" height="375" /></a></p>

We had the pleasure to meet him in person and take a peek at his lab.</p>
<p>Some people may know him in electro-music forum as &#8220;the guy with the custom table&#8221; which is apparent in the following pictures.</p>
<table style="width: auto;" border="0">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td><a href="http://picasaweb.google.gr/lh/photo/tM4RKV0-T1swJc3ZJAnh-Q?authkey=Gv1sRgCP-Fy_K6jNux8gE&amp;feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_KxP3S62nRIc/SwHH0DHPSrI/AAAAAAAAGAE/qSewrFUJGKI/s400/IMG_7072.JPG" alt="" /></a></td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
<p><a href="http://picasaweb.google.gr/lh/photo/Q2Y83_68aRsHbbAKBYPCtw?authkey=Gv1sRgCP-Fy_K6jNux8gE&amp;feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_KxP3S62nRIc/SwHH7P-CsJI/AAAAAAAAGAM/O5oJNTh7nns/s400/IMG_7073.JPG" alt="" /></a></p>
<p>He has a very organized electronics lab and there is a whole room devoted to music and sound with the &#8220;table&#8221; as its center!<br />
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.gr/lh/photo/QUfoF-VaHM4eFXTZkABxQQ?authkey=Gv1sRgCP-Fy_K6jNux8gE&amp;feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_KxP3S62nRIc/SwHIWgZQMMI/AAAAAAAAGAc/Qd_y_UBvJz8/s400/IMG_7081.JPG" alt="" /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://picasaweb.google.gr/lh/photo/lyDahhzA-A5YiR70OVSX6Q?authkey=Gv1sRgCP-Fy_K6jNux8gE&amp;feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_KxP3S62nRIc/SwHIizZGv9I/AAAAAAAAGAo/g_C0Z1xWf9E/s400/IMG_7083.JPG" alt="" /></a></p>
<p>On the far left side there are two wonderful semi-modular synths. Both cwejman sound.</p>
<p>There is a S1 MK2 and an S2.<br />
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.gr/lh/photo/aG0sOp31eHq0HvlL8VHDxQ?authkey=Gv1sRgCP-Fy_K6jNux8gE&amp;feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_KxP3S62nRIc/SwHFjiCsNKI/AAAAAAAAF-U/ABVrqnvt3BY/s400/IMG_7043.JPG" alt="" /></a></p>
<p>The S2 has serial number 11!! (Oscar tells me that there were only thirteen S2 produced EVER!)<br />
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.gr/lh/photo/v1Ep3T0_08CM3Y1vKyJFug?authkey=Gv1sRgCP-Fy_K6jNux8gE&amp;feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_KxP3S62nRIc/SwHFvCrjlRI/AAAAAAAAF-c/fYObSvhNrGc/s400/IMG_7045.JPG" alt="" /></a></p>
<p>Oscar builds his own module: the Τεσσερα (Tessera).<br />
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.gr/lh/photo/BgZ0CdEDSd5g-m58tSJAkA?authkey=Gv1sRgCP-Fy_K6jNux8gE&#038;feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_KxP3S62nRIc/SwHGK2Cr2YI/AAAAAAAAF-0/gUovbK9BCWU/s400/IMG_7050.JPG" /></a></p>
<p>In his own words:<br />
<strong>&#8220;The Tessera is a 4 SSM2164 VCAs, with linear response like Mike Irwin, with control over their offset or initial level. One signal IN, one CV IN, one switch per channel that allow to invert the signal before that it enter in the mixer, and the mixer give us, the direct outs of all the channels, 1,2,3 and 4, the sums of 1+2, ALL, 3+4 and 3+4’.</strong></p>
<p><strong>It is a very useful module that it is able to process AC signals and DC signals. It is very clean, start to distort the signals over 20V peak to peak. You can control, manual and with voltage, the amplitude of the signal, sum, split and invert, so also subtract signals. &#8220;</strong><br />
You can get more info about the Τεσσερα (Tessera) <a href="http://electro-music.com/forum/viewtopic.php?highlight=tessera&amp;t=34297">here</a></p>
<p>And you can see more pictures of it right below!<br />
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.gr/lh/photo/6cqbCBTUp_cv2wOzkg3ZOA?authkey=Gv1sRgCP-Fy_K6jNux8gE&#038;feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_KxP3S62nRIc/SwHF6VPS6nI/AAAAAAAAF-k/7XJJPVxSypA/s400/IMG_7047.JPG" /></a></p>
<p>Mr. Braska happily sits among four Serge VCS modules. Sadly, this module has been discontinued.<br />
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.gr/lh/photo/aAniEWadNAncsxfK0ImzUg?authkey=Gv1sRgCP-Fy_K6jNux8gE&#038;feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_KxP3S62nRIc/SwHGFec5X1I/AAAAAAAAF-w/XGVYtXujWC8/s400/IMG_7049.JPG" /></a></p>
<p>As a electro-music dweller, sound could only have such modules:<br />
Dual <a href="http://www.magsmoke.com/TH-101-Sheboygan-566-VCO.asp">Sheboygans </a>and dual <a href="http://www.magsmoke.com/TH-201-Mankato-Filter-VCF.asp">Mankatos</a>! He is the reason I got a couple of PCBs of both!! <img src='http://www.synthfrog.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  (Hear hear!)<br />
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.gr/lh/photo/wqsMMg8zPMTia9uTmm_mNg?authkey=Gv1sRgCP-Fy_K6jNux8gE&#038;feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_KxP3S62nRIc/SwHGQ-82SRI/AAAAAAAAF-4/HmkXrb4RuqA/s400/IMG_7051.JPG" /></a><br />
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.gr/lh/photo/Q75rtM2o1RrCWRNKHpbjjQ?authkey=Gv1sRgCP-Fy_K6jNux8gE&#038;feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/_KxP3S62nRIc/SwHGXRZfVwI/AAAAAAAAF-8/vwwom_txOuY/s400/IMG_7052.JPG" /></a><br />
(and an <a href="http://www.musicfromouterspace.com/analogsynth/NOISECORNUCOPIA/NOISECORNUCOPIA.php">mfos noise module</a> on the right! <img src='http://www.synthfrog.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>Exactly underneath, a klee sequencer<br />

<p>And to close the day, here is Mr. Braska that tests the Τεσσερα in his breadboard form!<br />

<p>And afterwards, refreshed, he set out to explore tigrics&#8217; self made modules !</p>
<p>And there is a Shaper!! <br /><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/piHev88vw50Yzz3YsHnPJA?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_KxP3S62nRIc/SvHvKTsNzRI/AAAAAAAAF3I/WZ0Q9h_akUU/s400/braska_sitting_on_a_shaper.jpg" /></a></p>

<p>In front of <a href="http://funzine.hu/Culture/Markus-Schinwald-Pocket-History-642-2009-09-19.html">pocket history</a> poster<br /><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/9Zf_m805XbQuhUM6pr5WkQ?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/_KxP3S62nRIc/SvHvP62ht3I/AAAAAAAAF3c/g77KKyJ_Xes/s400/pocket_history.jpg" /></a></p>
<p>And back to the house, lying as sexily as a frog only can, on a wasp filter and a ring modulator!<br />Great sonic potential!<br /><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/B8LwvYUSPpS7lu9Qc503tw?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_KxP3S62nRIc/SvHvS43G2II/AAAAAAAAF3g/i6AjNLKxMMs/s400/brass_with_wasp_and_ringmods.jpg" /></a></p>
<p>This is tigrics&#8217; backlog!<br /><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/lkmn8U-t0_7X8AJ5A8VjNQ?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_KxP3S62nRIc/SvHvVQ2Af0I/AAAAAAAAF3k/yMl9ky_yoHI/s400/braska_with_backlog.jpg" /></a></p>
<p>Well, tigrics mentions his workplace is, like, everything, everywhere:</p>
<p>&#8220;there&#8217;s not much of a workshop here, it&#8217;s all over the room.<br />2 soldering irons, two drills, still no stand,<br />I acid next to the entrance, doors open,<br />have a computer on the desk with a good wacom, no mouse, oh no,<br />I draw a lot&#8230; I like inkscape, but flash even more.<br />still use pencil a lot.<br />quite a few partboxes, and bags with stuff sorted, resistors in cd wallets&#8221;</p>
<p>Well, just drop over his <a href="http://tigrics.hu">site</a> and see for yourself.<br />He is as talented with pen and paper as with soldering iron/pcb <img src='http://www.synthfrog.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>He promised some photos of his lab tomorrow!!!</p>

<p>Our hosts, Balazs (vinnui) and Kende (his son) were very loving and took<br />good care of the little frog. <p>Lucky frog, now sits on top of the polysix and he has nothing cut-off <img src='http://www.synthfrog.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> <br /><a href="http://picasaweb.google.gr/lh/photo/jpIiHNZw67FzRQTd8KtVMQ?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/_KxP3S62nRIc/SuIDMLU_WjI/AAAAAAAAFsI/Rt7YlkYf3lo/s400/br-poly6.JPG" /></a></p>
<p>There is the position of the non-existend PSU<br /><a href="http://picasaweb.google.gr/lh/photo/_I1a1dkn6w6-hSZf1zjVLA?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_KxP3S62nRIc/SuIDSxUKx8I/AAAAAAAAFsc/KpCD2E-OcBw/s400/br-poly-nopsu.JPG" /></a></p>
<p>But everything else seems in order.<br /><a href="http://picasaweb.google.gr/lh/photo/mMGVRpenzLw3ZOObMckgyA?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/_KxP3S62nRIc/SuIDPrcN5dI/AAAAAAAAFsU/_IAYYGdwSjo/s400/br-poly6-2.JPG" /></a></p>
<p>This is the PSU of the modular<br /><a href="http://picasaweb.google.gr/lh/photo/zECUI5Gr5PJNaTWkb1icwQ?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_KxP3S62nRIc/SuIDNeexOOI/AAAAAAAAFsM/DLTTOS8NSFs/s400/br-psu.JPG" /></a></p>
<p>And it seems to supply enough power to support Mr. Braska too! <br /><a href="http://picasaweb.google.gr/lh/photo/kKsWicDDCWKIk7KTJqvYMg?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_KxP3S62nRIc/SuIDRARla9I/AAAAAAAAFsY/yMAyRAn01Sg/s400/br-swi.JPG" /></a></p>
<p>And a cameo appearance of a midi keyboard!<br /><a href="http://picasaweb.google.gr/lh/photo/ZQyfGW8Gy_PuO9pKTzwRCA?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/_KxP3S62nRIc/SuIDOe2O82I/AAAAAAAAFsQ/iKKxYhnDPqU/s400/br-midikey.JPG" /></a></p>
