A parallel project starts.. Components are on their way, panel is designed, boards are here…..
it will be an MFOS Sequencer!!!!

Soundlab and WSG sonata

The WSG (Weird sound generator) took it’s place beside Soundlab. So there are two samples, one (http://rapidshare.com/files/217106360/hhh2.mp3) which uses both of them and one
(http://rapidshare.com/files/214296536/hhh.mp3) that uses only Soundlab..
There is a little effect processing afterwards (delay+ phaser).

Both are fed from a +-15V PSU without any problems whatsoever.

An interesting experiment is to plug the output of WSG to the CV input of the SoundLab. It doesn’t cover the entire 0-10v range as an output but with a mixer/amplifier before the insertion you could have dramatic results. Nevertheless, it still sounds quite interesting..

MFOS SoundLab

Lying somewhere inside a box is an almost-finished Sound lab. (lacks pots which I am still waiting for). I bought simple square aluminum panels 21×27cm each for 2 euros apiece and decided that the panel will be as shown, printed on photographic paper and stuck on the aluminum since I have no other way to make it better.

This is a Weird Sound Generator (Bought the board from ray wilson of musicfromouterspace.com). It was interesting at the time, making all those bleeps and blops but I soon got over it. So soon, I didn’t take the time to put it in a proper box. I even pulled out the knobs to reuse them elsewhere so now it stands naked in a box among other stuff…
